They banned travel in New York - and postponed a football game - because of heavy snow and freezing temperatures. Yet our Shadow Rulers are banning excellent and cheaper light bulbs and the gas stoves to fight Global Warming. Alas, the planet still (routinely) gets as cold as heck and has been for the past 30 years.

That is, we don't need any of these bans to make the temperature - what? - 1/8th of a degree warmer.

It's like nobody needs a Covid vaccine. Forget if they work or not - We don't need them because few people are at risk of dying from the disease the vaccines were supposed to prevent (but didn't).

We banned school for a year or more to save the lives of students ... and no healthy students have died from Covid.

Yes, just "recommend." Regarding hurricane evacuation orders, I live in Troy, Alabama - about 70 miles north of the Florida border. Growing up, my father was a gasoline distributor for Gulf Oil and owned several Gulf stations/convenience stores on our local highway.

The family always made a killing when we had these hurricane evacuations. One time, the same hurricane kept circling and pausing in the Gulf of Mexico. The governor ordered, then rescinded, then-re-ordered three different evacuations.

That was six times Florida evacuees had to drive by Gulf stations on Highway 231 in Troy, Alabama. Our gas volumes blew away all records ... I think that hurricane paid for my college education.

yes In florida it is always a challenge where and when to evacuate to.. peninsula issues:) Glad you had gas to sell !! to those evacuees ::)) In NY pretty easy to see when tractor trailors get off the interstate is a good time NOT to speed past them on the road ::) as many little cars do . SIGH

Being from south Alabama, I'd be afraid to drive two yards in a NY snow storm! I don't know how to do it!

the Lake effect snow is some of the most interesting and challenging.. lived both states so get better with time but as more mature or smarter now do try to stay off the roads at really bad times .. !! Dec 22 a Christmas major blizzard with severe freeze the ny gov did not warn anyone or ban anyone .. they stopped counting the death toll as i suspect they stopped doing in Lahaina Ha too.. as too depressing Young people not familiar with if NO ONE IS responding to 911 call in car at some point better to risk trying to find house ( many did welcome strangers ) or school or any building to wait out storm by breaking in ( done and acceptable to save lives in rare event ) Sadly a young girl from carolinas had come to state to help her elderly sick dad and with no snow experience tried to drive home and froze in her car

after stuck in snow.. kept texting family in south . No 911 able to get out to help . sad she probably did not have boots and coats etc to survive walking for help either sad .. she needed Buffalo ed and caution to not drive .

Awesome essay, Charles. Somehow he have to purge the banners from positions of leadership. I’d say we should “ban the banners” but that would violate your advice/solution. We have to discredit the banners - which you are doing with essays like this.

I’ve written about the same topic. In this article, I noted that independent bookstores banned the No. 1 best-seller in the world, “The Real Anthony Fauci.”

And don’t get me started on the light bulbs or the gas stoves or gasoline that HAS to have ethanol in it ...

Charles -- thank you for such a beautifully written and deeply important essay in defense of Freedom. Your examples are well rounded and that’s what’s needed. The test of the fair and just comes when what we don’t like requires our defense. Good for you! 💜

Thanks for posting the links to this important collection as it memorializes the honorable and courageous gentle women (and supporters) who stood for truth. Let us remember how important FREE SPEECH is always and everywhere. 💜It is vital to keep the libraries and archives open to all speech in their capacities as preserver of the public and scholarly record -- the professionals must stand for the inclusion of all speech in the current wave of censorship from within its own ranks. The libraries, archives, and publishers have a sacred mission and role on behalf of the Divine and always it has been so. NO current philosophy or perspective is more important than the fundamental principle embedded in the First Amendment and served by generations of professionals who strive to enlarge the record of speech.

Great essay! Who'da thought Fetterman, of all people would be espousing the most important principle of all - "err on the side of freedom". We need laws, we need regulations. I think pollution is a good example. Without laws against it we can't have clean air and water. Some will pollute, then the rest must do the same to be cost-competitive or go out of business. I'm talking about real pollutants like raw sewage, PCBs and other poisons, not the CO2 insanity. CO2 is NOT a pollutant. IOW, enact only laws we really need. The unfortunate reality is most people are so simple-minded they'll back any law that aligns with their personal goals. That simple-mindedness is the problem, and I don't think there is a fix for it.

We don't need bans, there are already thousands of laws covering every inch of our narrowing freedoms, what isn't Darwinism will most certainly solve.

Charles, banning is growing way of life--its people pushing their authority making us all believe we are "in a global crisis." The global rise of banning is a sign of growing authoritarianism. I believe this is indicative that we are approaching the terminal phase of mankind as the bible speaks about. Jesus Christ is returning soon to break this rebel alliance fomented by Satan and the soon to be revealed antichrist global leader.

It's also virtue-signaling on steroids.

I'm a better human being than you because for I'm for the banning of the combustible engine ... because I care about the planet more than you.

well said, and its built on a total fabrication of reality which makes it more insidious. they believe they are being virtuous while they are being used.

Charles, thanks for insights in article. in general, the majority of hard core banning comes from leftists, who are communist in ideology. Mankind will never willingly adopt globalized socialism without undue force being applied to instill compliance and to break citizens of their nationalism. As former socialist David Horowitz, popular author says on his website banner "Inside every progressive is a totalitarian screaming to get out".

The Edison light bulb ban was passed in 1897, and extended by Republican's for 125 years. That's the light bulb that edison didn't invent. That cost $850,000 each, lasted for only 13 hours and was a whole 5% efficient. Lets not talk about the 20 Republican states than ban the sale of Tesla's for 15 years. The epitome of Communism. https://teslaleaks.com/f/the-great-light-bulb-conspiracy-nikola-tesla-vs-thomas-edison

Leftist, fascist members of the ANTI-DEMOCRATIC PARTY don't simply have 'different political leanings'. They're lawless, totalitarian, power hungry, control freak tyrants and it is the duty of every human to oppose these enemies of humanity and American principles of freedom and limited, accountable government.

The obviously totaltarian fascist filth need to be purged from America and Earth. Especially to protect children's genitals and innocence from the perverse demons.
